The main fares of the company Trenitalia are:
Super Economy: unfortunately, the company Trenitalia doesn't allow to make any modification or cancellation to his kind of fare.
Regionale: the company Trenitalia allows to change date/time and to obtain a refund by 23:59h. of the day before of the departure. Regional tickets can be only modified or cancelled at any Trenitalia ticket office at a train station, since this type of requests are exclusively managed by the railway company itself. Moreover, the ticket is valid for the date/time indicated on the ticket but also for the next 4 hours.
Economy: for this type of fare the company Trenitalia doesn't allow to make cancellations but allows modifications of date/time up to the departure of the train by paying the difference between the full price (Base) applied to the train used and the sum already paid.
Base: this type of fare allows modifications and cancellations with a partial refund of the 80% of the total amount of the ticket.
